Honey Bees @ Strand
BackNews
We were lucky to win a visit from London Bee Keepers Association (LBKA). A beekeeper and a representative from School Food Matters came to school and taught Reception and Year 1 children all about honeybees. They learnt about their nests, life cycles, the importance of bees in food production and bee products such as honey. We even got to see 10,000 bees in an observation hive and taste local honey from Mudchute Farm - it was delicious!
